International Division

Shelton´s International Division has three main objectives:

  1. To provide local expertise and guidance to buyers from outside the United States on the Miami real estate market and preconstruction projects
  2. To market exceptional world-wide properties to both local and international buyers
  3. To represent and partner with third-party experienced and highly reputable developers with a successful international track-record, providing a sales and marketing platform for premier projects in selective world-wide investment, residential and leisure destinations.

Shelton´s International Division delivers integrated real estate services and market expertise based on a strong interdisciplinary professional track-record, seamlessly coordinated and delivered throughout our local and international network in Mexico, Latin America and Europe, striving to maintain and provide the maximum amount of satisfaction in all of our real estate brokerage transactions. Long-standing local and international client and real estate broker relationships, complemented by associations with other international brokerage networks is extremely valuable in developing a successful stream of international real estate sales.

THE SHELTON SELECTION is a group of new and unique international projects based on a meticulous screening process of many attractive real estate projects in diverse locations, choosing the best and most suitable to our current and potential customers´ objectives. Our main objective is to achieve the highest long term customer satisfaction by introducing them to the highest quality projects which meet their requirements. With a steadily growing beach, city and countryside inventory, we are now representing developments in Panama, Mexico and Brazil.

We have recently started analyzing new projects in Argentina, Costa Rica, Portugal and Spain, enhancing Shelton International Division’s role in global high-end real estate marketing and sales.


Rafael Hidalgo
Director of the International Division

 
Rafael was born in Madrid, Spain. He has fourteen years of experience in foreign trade and strategic international consulting for private companies and governmental offices and institutions, with relevant experience in publishing, covering a broad background in product development for new markets, distribution and sales management.

Rafael's international experience was acquired by working in various capacities internationally with the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin American markets.  

His extensive expertise includes product development and market research, negotiating and achieving sales objectives, management of direct sales staff, distribution and indirect sales channels and the creation of short and long-term sales plans involving strategic account penetration and target market selection.

  • The Madrid Chamber Of Commerce and Industry, Foreign Trade Advisor for the US market (1990)
  • Area Chief of The Promotion of Foreign Trade Department (1991-1994)
  • The European Commission, Managerial Cooperation Expert (1992-1994)
  • The Federation of Spanish Chamber of Commerce in America, General Secretary (1994-1994)
  • The Spain-US Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director (1994-1998)
  • Quorum Corporation (Miami), an International Project and Trade Company, Founder and Vice President (1998-2000)
  • Hola! Publishers from Spain (Miami), Director for the US and Latin America (2000-2004).
  • Shelton International Divsion Director (2006 to present)

Education:

  • PhD in International Economics and Development
  • Master in Business Administration
  • Master in Foreign Trade Management
  • B.A. In Economics and Management Sciences
  • Diploma in European Community Studies.
  • He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and Licensed Mortgage Broker in Florida

Rafael was President of The Spain-US Chamber of Commerce in 2002-2003, and'for the period 2006-2008 is the Chairman of the Foreign Trade Committee of this prestigious institution. Based on his vast interdisciplinary education, experience and expertise, Shelton recruited Rafael to head and revitalize its international division.
